Svetla Dimitrova, PhD

Svetla Dimitrova, born in 1972, obtained her MS in Bioengineering from the Technical University of Sofia in 1996 and her PhD in Medicine in 2006 from the High Attestation Commission of Bulgaria. She has been a research scientist at the Solar-Terrestrial Influences Institute at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences since 1999. Her main interests are human studies and epidemiology. She has led and participated in a number of national and international projects for investigation of space weather, natural EMFs and 900 MHz EMFs on human health, in particular physiological and psycho-physiological state, sleep, cardio-vascular system, heart rate variability, different cardio-vascular diseases morbidity and mortality.
